The Journey So Far – Building Creator Cards

The Journey So Far – Building Creator Cards

Taking Creator Cards from an idea to a real product has been one of the most exciting and challenging things I’ve ever done. There have been some big wins, but also some major lessons along the way:

🖌 Artist Capacity – I thought one artist would be enough, but with 160+ characters, I had to bring in more. Over time, I expanded to four artists to keep things moving.

🎥 Creating the Presale Video – Since this project is fully bootstrapped, I had to learn Adobe After Effects from scratch just to create the promo video. It was a steep learning curve, but seeing the final result was worth it.

🤝 Community-Driven Decisions – Instead of making assumptions, I decided to let the community vote on key decisions. This shaped the project in ways I wouldn’t have expected and helped make it fair for all creators involved.

The best part? Seeing the hype build in Discord and across social media. Watching creators react to their cards, seeing fans get excited for the presale—it’s been incredible.

Looking ahead, I want to make Creator Cards a yearly thing, with potential for seasonal drops, community collaborations, and bigger events.

At the end of the day, this project is all about fun, community, and giving creators more exposure. If it grows enough to employ people full-time, even better. But my main goal? Make something awesome that brings fans and creators together in a way that hasn’t been done before.
